NMR research remains a rapidly developing field and it is vital that software for NMR keeps up with new experimental protocols. Furthermore it is important to note that NMR software itself can contribute new capabilities to the field. Sponsoring the development of NMRView is crucial to ensuring that new features are added in a timely fashion.
Responding to user questions about the software, fixing problems that users find in the software, and customizing existing scripts is also a time-consuming task. Support contracts are necessary to ensure that time is available for providing support to NMRView users.
Users are under no obligation to purchase support contracts to download and use the software. Doing so, however, will help to ensure the continued development of NMRViewJ. Furthermore, groups which sponsor NMRViewJ with annual support payments will get higher priority in receiving:
- Answers to questions about NMRView use.
- Fixes for NMRViewJ bugs they report.
- Targeted Development of New Features
- Customized Tcl Scripts.
The price for annual support contracts varies depending on the size of the research group. We recognize that the sizes and funding levels of research groups can vary significantly in time and space, and that only a subset of NMR scientists at a site may be using NMRView. Accordingly, we are flexible in our pricing so use your own judgement in choosing a support level.
