Re: NMRView NvJ 8.0a1 requires at least Java 1.5
This may be a silly question as I am slow to update stuff, but from what I
can figure out on the Mac website if I'm using OS 10.3.9 I'm stuck at Java
1.4? Or does it really matter?
Thanks,
Tara

With NvJ 8.0a1 I've started using some features of Java that are only present
in Java 1.5 and later. Also, I've fixed the bug that prevented NvJ from
working with Java 1.6. If anyone only has Java 1.4, and can't move to 1.5 or
1.6 let me know as I can still probably build versions that will check for
1.5 features and only use them if present (though I'd rather not do too much
of this). Generally you should find the code is faster with 1.5 and even
faster in 1.6 and unless your stuck in a company that won't let you go to 1.5
for fear it might break something there shouldn't be any reason not to
upgrade.
