Just a little news.  We're getting very close to releasing a new  
version of NvJ that we're quite excited about.

We hope to release 7.2 later this week.  We're jumping versions as  
this has lots of infrastructure changes, and we may still put a few  
bug fixes into the existing version.  I think we'll also start  
explicitly referring to early versions as "alpha", then "beta".   
Despite the fact that this version will get the "alpha" label because  
of the substantive changes it should be more stable than existing  
versions.  We've eliminated a lot of  threading type bugs, made the  
GUI significantly snappier, increased contouring speed by about 2X,  
and peak picking speed by 4x  (that is, it's four times faster!).  On  
my MacBook Pro it picks a 64Mb hncacb experiment in about 300 ms.  We  
have plans for more speed increases in subsequent versions.  Various  
bug fixes are incorporated as well.
