Advanced tools like RunAbout provide features for synchronizing the display of different windows, but sometimes one wants to set this synchronization up in a more ad hoc way. You can set up syncronization between windows using the Synchronize... menu entry on the main Windows menu. First make sure the window you want to be the "source" of synchronization events is the active window. Choosing Synchronize... will display the following dialog.
![]() |
Every time the display of the Synchronization Source window is changed, any specified parameters of the target windows will be changed. Currently only the chemical shift range for the windows can be specified as synchronization parameters. To add a synchronization click the "Add Sync" button. A new row will be added to the "Syncrhonized Target Windows" section of the dialog. Use the menu button in the window field to select a target window from the list of current spectrum windows. Now enter a value in the Axis field. You can enter the axis as a specific axis (x, y, z, or a), or as an axis label (like HN, N, C etc.). You can enter multiple rows for each target window, so you could, as in the example, synchronize the HN and N axes of a target window to the source window. Synchronizations can be removed by clicking the "-" buttons at the left side of each target row.
