| comments | Hi Viewers, I have a problem possibly related to this thread: Re: hard to read fonts in view for Linux My problem is the fonts which you set up for labeling axis and peaks in the File:Prefs:Fonts I try setting these to everything under the sun using various font syntaxes and I end up with something like Helvetical size 16 which is much too big for my striptools to be useful and am completely unable to change them. I am running RedHat 7.1 with the xfs fonts set up and use Gnome/sawfish, although this also occurs in enlightenment. This problem surfaced when I upgraded from RH 6.2 but even then I was unable to change the fonts. nmrview and both exhibit this problem. I tried everything Curt suggests (see bottom of email) Am I missing something? What is the correct font syntax? Do I have to install font paths somewhere other than the xfs (which sets font paths for X11 as well)? Any help appreciated, Bob Dr. Robert J. It wouldn't surprise me if Bruce changed the font to something that is forcing your box to resize some other font. I don't seem to get these problems (my exact setup is RH ., Enlightenment 0.16 as the window manager, installed all the fonts off of the win98 cdrom) curt< |
